an "as is" basis and makes no representations or warranties
of any kind with respect to this site or its contents and disclaims
all such representations and warranties. In addition, Aeon
Books makes no representations or warranties about the accuracy,
completeness, or suitability for any purpose of the information

The information contained in this site may contain technical
inaccuracies or typographical errors. All liability of Aeon
Books howsoever arising for any such inaccuracies or errors
is expressly excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Neither Aeon Books nor any of its directors, employees or
other representatives will be liable for damages arising out
of or in connection with the use of this site. This is a comprehensive
limitation of liability that applies to all damages of any
kind, including (without limitation) compensatory, direct,
indirect or consequential damages, loss of data, income or

Aeon Books reserves the right at any time to revise its
prices without notice. All orders for products are subject
to availability and Aeon Books reserves the right to refuse
to supply to any individual or company for whatever reason.
All brand names, product names and titles and copyrights
used in this site are trade marks or trade names or copyrights
of their respective holders.
No permission is given by Aeon Books in respect of the
use of any such brand names, product names or titles or copyrights
and such use may constitute an infringement of the holder's
rights.
Aeon Books uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) to protect your
credit card information and assist your shopping experience.
However, any losses incurred or sustained by customers who
transmit information by means of email or other internet link
shall be borne solely and exclusively by that customer and
in no event shall any such losses in whole or in part be borne
by Aeon Books. If you are using a public computer, you must
sign out when you have finished shopping.
If you discover that goods have been ordered using your credit
card by someone not authorised to do so, Aeon Books will
refund to you the money it receives provided that:
(a) you inform your credit card company and Aeon Books
of the unauthorised purchase as soon as you discover it; and
(b) you co-operate with your credit card company, Aeon
Books and, if necessary, the police in relation to the unauthorised
use.
COPYRIGHT
All design, text, graphics and the selection or arrangement
thereof are the copyright of Aeon Books. Permission is granted
to electronically copy and print in hard copy portions of
this site for the sole purpose of placing an order with Aeon
Books or using this site as a shopping resource. Any other
use of materials on this site (including reproduction for
purposes other than those noted above and modification, distribution,
or republication) without the prior written permission of
Aeon books is strictly prohibited.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THE SUPPLY OF Aeon Books PRODUCTS
THE CONTRACT BETWEEN US
Aeon Books must receive payment of the whole of the price
for the goods that you order before your order can be accepted.
Once payment has been received Aeon Books will confirm that
your order has been accepted by sending an email to you at
the email address you provide in your order form. Aeon Books'
acceptance of your order brings into existence a legally binding
contract between us.
PRICE
The prices payable for goods that you order is as set out
in our Web site.
You will be required to pay extra for delivery and it might
not be possible for us to deliver to some locations.
WITHDRAWAL BY YOU FROM THE CONTRACT
You may withdraw your order for goods at any time up to the
end of the seventh working day after you make your order even
if you have then already received the goods. You do not need
to give Aeon Books any reason for withdrawing your order
nor will you have to pay any penalty.
The only circumstances in which you cannot withdraw your
order are where you have taken the goods you have ordered
(or the ones in relation to which you want to withdraw) out
of the sealed package in which they were delivered.
To withdraw your order you must notify Aeon Books in writing
at the address set out in the Aeon Books contact details
page of this Web site.
If you have received the goods before you withdraw your order
then, unless you have lost your right to withdraw because
you have taken the goods out of their sealed package, you
must send them back to the Aeon Books contact address at
your own cost and risk. If you withdraw your order but Aeon
Books has already processed the goods for delivery you must
not unpack the goods when they are received by you and you
must send the goods back to Aeon Books at the Aeon Books
contact address at your own cost and risk as soon as possible.
Once you have notified Aeon Books that you are withdrawing
your order, any sum debited to Aeon Books from your credit
card will be re-credited to your account as soon as possible
and in any event within 30 days of your order PROVIDED THAT
the goods in question are returned by you and received by
Aeon Books in the condition they were in when delivered
to you.
AVAILABILITY OF GOODS YOU ORDER
If Aeon Books has insufficient stock to deliver the goods
ordered by you, any sum debited by Aeon Books from your
credit card will be re-credited to your account and Aeon
Books will notify you by email at the address given by you
in your order form. The refund will be made as soon as possible
and in any event within 30 days of your order. Aeon Books
will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for
disappointment suffered.
DELIVERY OF GOODS TO YOU
Aeon Books will deliver the goods ordered by you to the
address you give Aeon Books for delivery at the time you
make your order.
You will become the owner of the goods you have ordered when
they have been delivered to you. Once goods have been delivered
to you they will be held at your own risk and Aeon Books
will not be liable for their loss or destruction.
LIABILITY
If the goods Aeon Books delivers are not what you ordered
or are damaged or defective or the delivery is of an incorrect
quantity, Aeon Books shall have no liability to you unless
you notify Aeon Books in writing at the Aeon Books contact
address of the problem within 10 working days of the delivery
of goods in question.
If you do not receive goods ordered by you within 30 days
of the date on which you ordered them, Aeon Books shall
have no liability to you unless you notify Aeon Books in
writing at the Aeon Books contact address of the problem
within 40 days of the date on which you ordered the goods.
If you notify a problem to Aeon Books under this condition,
Aeon Books' only obligation will be, at its option:-
to make good any shortage or non-delivery;
to replace or repair any goods that are damaged or defective;
or
to refund to you the amount paid by you for the goods in question
in whatever way Aeon Books chooses.
Aeon Books will not be liable to you for any indirect or
consequential loss or damage arising out of any problem you
notify to Aeon Books under this condition and Aeon Books
shall have no liability to pay any money to you by way of
compensation other than to refund to you the amount paid by
you for the goods in question under paragraph (c) above.
Nothing in this condition is, however, intended to limit
any rights you might have as a consumer under applicable local
law that may not be excluded nor in any way to exclude or
limit Aeon Books' liability to you for any death or personal
injury resulting from its negligence.
FORCE MAJEURE
Aeon Books shall have no liability to you for any failure
to deliver goods you have ordered or any delay in doing so
or for any damage or defect to goods delivered that is caused
by any event or circumstance beyond its reasonable control.
INVALIDITY
If any part of these conditions is unenforceable (including
any provision in which Aeon Books excludes its liability
to you) the enforceability of any other part of these conditions
will not be affected.
GOVERNING LAW
The contract between us shall be governed by and interpreted
in accordance with English law, and the English courts shall
have jurisdiction to resolve any disputes between us.
ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These terms and conditions, together with the current Aeon
Books Web site prices, delivery details and Aeon Books contact
details, set out the whole of our agreement relating to the
supply of the goods to you by Aeon Books.
These terms and conditions cannot be varied except in writing
signed by a director of Aeon Books. In particular nothing
said by any sales person on behalf of Aeon Books should
be understood as a variation of these terms and conditions
or as an authorised representation about the nature or quality
of any goods offered for sale by Aeon Books. Aeon Books
shall have no liability for any such representation being
untrue or misleading.
INTERPRETATION
In these terms and conditions:-
"Aeon Books" means Aeon (books) Ltd.,
any connected organisation that actually supplies goods ordered
by you and any successor to its business;
"working day" means every day of a calendar year
apart from weekends and statutory and public holidays;
"us" means Aeon Books and you together; and
"you" and "your" means the person ordering
goods under these terms and conditions.
RETURNS
If you have bought a book online and would like to return
it, we can refund you at any of our stores. All you need is
the book and your Aeon Books receipt. As long as it is in
the condition in which it was received, we will willingly
give you Aeon Books credit note to match the value of the
book on the receipt.* If the book is damaged when you receive
it, we will fully refund your credit card to match the value
of the book on the receipt, including the postage.
* Please note that Aeon Books cannot refund postage
